Q: I’m having trouble registering. What can I do?
A: There are two ways you can register on BOB. The first is by clicking the “Register” button and completing the sign-up page (name, email address, password, etc.). A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide. All you have to do is click on the link in that email and you will be all set. If you have a Facebook account, you are already registered for BOB – all you have to do is click on the Facebook Connect button in the top right of any page on BOB. You will be asked by the Facebook pop-up window to enter your Facebook ID and password (this information is not shared with BOB – this is a Facebook window) and – voila! – you are logged in.
If one of the registration methods is not working, please try to register in the other method. Both are very fast. If that still does not work, please email us at email@example.com.
Q: How long will my ad stay active? Do I need to renew it?
A: Your ad will stay active as long as you want it to. There are no renewal notifications and there is no need to renew it as once you post it, it stays up! We do, however, let you know when people are replying to your ad, writing reviews about it and so on.
Q: How do I unsubscribe from emails generated by BOB?
A: To unsubscribe from email reminders from BOB, simply log in to BOB and go to “My Profile”. At the bottom of the screen is an option to “Unsubscribe” with a tick box next to it. Simply click on the tick box and hit the “Save” button and you will be unsubscribed.
Q: Can I post my ad in multiple categories?
A: Yes, you can post an ad in as many categories as fit the services you offer. You just need to go to the Post Ads screen and select a new category and go through the ad posting process. We know this is a bit cumbersome in that we currently do not allow you to select all of the categories that apply to your ad and then post all of them at the same time, but there is a method to our madness: the extra steps actually prevent abuse of the multiple postings functionality and ensures that relevant ads are posted in appropriate categories.
Q: The category that fits my business is not shown. What can I do?
A: Please post your ad in the category that fits your service offering or business the best and click on the “Suggest a New Category” button in the bottom left (under the service category listings). A small pop-up will ask you for the category you want. We review these regularly and will add all categories that make sense for users to better post ads and navigate BOB.
